When you browse the site, we may process basic technical information such as pages visited, device details, and approximate request metadata used for security, diagnostics, and service performance.

When you use product features, we may process account details, card text, recipient or sender names, uploaded images, draft records, published card links, checkout identifiers, and payment event metadata.

We use this information to show templates, save and render cards, connect purchases to the right account or session, provide published links, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and respond to support requests.

Payment details are handled by PayPal or Creem, depending on the method you choose. Seeing Words stores payment status and checkout references needed to deliver digital access, but does not store full card numbers or PayPal credentials.

We keep account, draft, purchase, and published card records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain accurate billing history.

You can contact us at hello@seeingwords.love to ask about your data, request correction or deletion where available, or report a privacy concern. Public card links should only be shared with people you intend to receive them.

If you choose AI-assisted illustration for a Love Story Map, each selected milestone's place label and memory caption, together with the chosen visual style, are used to create a prompt and sent to our configured AI provider. Partner names, the date range, and the closing message are not intentionally included unless you also enter them in a place label or caption.

With your permission, Seeing Words uses Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page use, creation steps, performance, and campaign attribution. We then store first-party random visitor, session, and attribution identifiers in your browser. You can accept, reject, or reopen Analytics preferences at any time. Refusing analytics does not prevent you from using the card service.

Published cards are not automatically listed in the template catalog, but anyone who receives the unguessable public link can view the card's story, illustrations, and selected music. Only share a public link with people you intend to have access.

Public card pages are excluded from Google Analytics and Cloudflare browser beacons, and product analytics events do not include the public slug, story text, names, prompts, uploaded image keys, or image URLs. Necessary edge, security, and service logs may still contain the requested public URL. Deleting a card removes public access; some records may remain temporarily where needed for abuse prevention, billing accuracy, backups, or legal obligations.
