Thanksgiving Reasons Jar for Your Partner
A watercolor jar on an autumn windowsill. Each tap twists off the lid, and a folded note flies out as a paper bird with one reason you're thankful. The last bird opens into a handwritten letter, with a photo of you two waiting at the bottom.
The way you save me the last bite of pie, every single time.
Why a jar of reasons works
"Thank you" is easy to say and easy to forget. Five to twelve specific reasons, the pie, the scarf, the 2 a.m. call, land very differently. Thankful For You turns them into a small ritual: one tap, one bird, one reason, then a letter that only makes sense after all of them.
How to make it
- Pick who it's for. We'll fill the jar with starter reasons in the right voice.
- Rewrite 5 to 12 reasons and add a photo to any of them.
- Write the letter, choose a handwriting style, hide a photo of you two and send the link.
Questions
- How many reasons can I put in the jar?
- Between 5 and 12. Each reason can be up to 120 characters and can have its own photo. The last note is always your letter.
- Does it work for friends and family, not just partners?
- Yes. Choose partner, best friend or family and the jar starts with reasons written for that relationship. You can rewrite every word.
- What does the person I send it to see?
- They open a link on their phone or laptop, tap the jar, and watch each note fly out as a paper bird. No app or account needed.
- Do I have to upload photos?
- No. Photos are optional. Without one, the bottom of the jar shows a watercolor still life. If you add photos, only use ones you took or have permission to share.
