Christmas · for your partner

Advent Calendar for Boyfriend or Girlfriend

A wooden advent calendar that lives in one link. Hide a note, a photo, or a tiny date idea behind every door. They can only open one a day, in their own time zone. On Christmas morning the big door opens and every little door flips into a tree made of your photos.

How the doors unlock

  • One door opens each day at midnight where they live, not where you live.
  • Missed a few days? Old doors stay open, so they can catch up anytime.
  • Locked doors give a little wiggle. No peeking until the date.
  • You can open every door while you're making it, and preview any date before you send.

Make it in four steps

  1. Add your names and one or two photos of you together.
  2. Pick 24 days, the 12 Days of Christmas, or a 7-day countdown, and their time zone.
  3. Fill each door with a note, a photo, or a small mission for that night.
  4. Write the Christmas morning note, choose music, and send one link.

Ideas for behind the doors

Watch Home Alone tonight. Blankets, popcorn, phones in the other room.
Call me at 9 tonight. I just want to hear you laugh.

Questions

When does each door unlock?
Each door unlocks at midnight in the time zone you choose for your partner. Door 1 opens on December 1 in the 24-day mode, December 13 for the 12 Days of Christmas, and December 18 for the 7-day countdown. The big door opens on December 25.
What if they forget to open a door?
Nothing is lost. Past doors stay unlocked, so they can catch up on any day they missed, even after Christmas.
Can I check the calendar before sending it?
Yes. While editing, every door is open for you, and you can switch to their view on any date to see exactly what they'll see that day.
What goes behind the doors?
Each door can hold a short note, a photo, or a little task like a date idea for that night. On Christmas Day the doors flip and arrange into a tree made from your photos together.
